Love Does Need Reason(s)

Couple weeks ago my friend posted a question on her facebook wall. It was said 'Does love need reason?' I was intrigued. I remembered I've read an article that said that love didn't need any reason. Well, I doubted it.

Love does need reason(s), at least for me. You can't randomly fall into someone who doesn't attract you. It's a reason for a starter. You fall for someone who attracts you.

The article said if you love someone because of reason(s), when the reason(s) has gone, you won't love her/him anymore. You have to love someone with 'though' clause. It's like you love someone because she is beautiful then when she gets older and there are wrinkles on her face, you won't love her anymore. Ain't it too shallow?

Also in that article, it is said your parents do not need any reason to love you, they love you for what you really are. But, is becoming-their-son/daughter itself not a reason?

For me, to fall in love, it needs reason, no matter what it is. You may not be able to find out what the reason is, but somehow you are attracted to him/her. You fall in love to someone instead of the other, there must be something, right? That is the reason, no matter how ridiculous it could be.

But it doesn't just stop there. To love, well, it needs more than reason(s). It needs commitment. And here it goes the 'though' clause, so that you will always love your partner THOUGH he/she is not what he/she used to be.

Again, it's just for me. Instead of arguing whether love needs reason(s) or not, let's just fall in it, feel it, commit to it, and enjoy it because as everyone says 'love is the greatest gift of all'.
